OIS Fall Fest

On Friday, October 16th at 2:30 P.M., the OIS will provide transportation to Phillips Farms where students can find their way through a corn maze, fire the Pumpkin Launcher, enjoy a hayride around the farm, and participate in other fun farm activities. Registration is required and tickets must be paid for in advance.  Please register here by Monday, October 12th to save your spot.


Cultural Crossroads 

Every week OIS hosts a new discussion about cultural diversity and how to navigate university life. No registration required. Follow the entire series or attend the discussions that interest you the most! Next week’s topic on October 14th: “‘Do Y’all Understand What I’m Saying?’ Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication between Cultures” in the Talley Student Union, Room 3285 from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. Think & Do in Two: Global Storytelling Competition

The Study Abroad Office will be hosting the first ever Global Storytelling Competition at NC State University. International students are encouraged to participate and share their experiences here in the United States. First place wins $150! The deadline to submit an entry is Friday, October 16th. Learn more and submit your entry here.

Monday Night Futbol

International Night – NC State Men’s Soccer Game

The OIS is collaborating with NC State’s men’s soccer team to host an International Night on Monday, October 19th against Appalachian State! The game starts at 7 P.M. at the Dail Soccer Complex. Entry is free for students and the first 500 fans will receive a #STATEMENT mini-flag. Sign up here to represent your country or region in the Parade of Flags during half-time!

America Through Our Eyes Photo Contest

OIS is now accepting entries for the America Through Our Eyes Photo Contest. This contest is a great opportunity for international students to express their view of America from their travels and experiences. Prizes will be awarded for the Best of Show as well as 1st place for each of the three categories. Submit Your Photos Here.

International Tea and Coffee

The OIS, in collaboration with several international student organizations, will host our annual International Tea and Coffee on Wednesday, November 18th, from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. in the Duke Energy Hall in Hunt Library. Sample tea, coffee, and snacks from all over the world! This event is free and open to everyone in the NC State community.

Pangea Race

The 5th annual Pangea Race is tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 20th! Students will work in diverse teams to complete challenges across campus to finish the course as quickly as possible. Winning teams will receive prizes!  More details about the event and how to register will be announced soon.
