International Education Month

November is International Education Month and you will discover many special activities around campus to celebrate international education at NC State. The Office of International Services, along with our Office of International Affairs partners, is hosting several exciting events throughout the month.

Share your photos with OIS to win cool prizes! This contest is a great opportunity for international students and scholars to showcase their travels and experiences (even Halloween!) throughout the United States. Photos submitted to the contest will be displayed on the Commons Wall in Hunt Library throughout the month. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The grand prize winner will receive two lower-level tickets to the Carolina Hurricanes game on Thursday, December 3rd! Transportation will be provided by OIS. The deadline to submit photos is next Friday, November 6th by 5 PM.  Learn more and submit your photos here.

Several international student organizations will host tables at the OIS’ annual International Tea on Wednesday, November 18th. This event is a great opportunity for everyone in the NC State community to learn more about other cultures while sampling authentic tea, coffee, and snacks from all over the world!  Stop by the Duke Energy Hall in Hunt Library anytime from 2-4 PM!

One of our favorite International Education Month events is the Pangea Race! Multi-national teams will have their global and local knowledge, as well as their physical skills put to the test as they work together to complete challenges across NC State’s campus in the fastest possible time. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and pizza will be provided for all participants at the finish line. Sign up with friends or as a “free agent” and we will assign you to a team. Hint: The more diverse your team, the more successful you will be in this event! Sign up at
