Ishita Trivedi, Doctoral Degree in Nuclear Engineering

Tell us about yourself.

Ishita Trivedi is from New Delhi, India and grew up moving around between several different continents. She moved to the USA to obtain an undergraduate degree in Nuclear Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Following her bachelor’s Ishita graduated with a Master’s of Science and PhD in Nuclear Engineering from NC State University with summa cum laude distinction.

Her research is focused on “Uncertainty Quantification for Safety Analysis of Lead-cooled Fast Reactor Systems”. Next, she will continue her contribution towards the advancement of nuclear energy at Idaho National Laboratory as a staff scientist. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring museums, running, and learning to cook.

How was your experience at NC State University?

The opportunities at NC State allowed me to turn from a curious student to a well-rounded scientist.

What would you say is your biggest accomplishment during your time at NC State?

Chairing the ANS 2021 Student Conference and meeting all of the extraordinary people here.

What are your plans post graduation?
