Spring Break Service Trip

Join the Office of International Services for a trip to Black Mountain, NC over Spring Break! This Alternative Intercultural Spring Break will be held from Saturday March 7th – Saturday March 14th, 2020 in order to promote, facilitate, and recognize service-learning involvement among the international student community at NC State University. Since 2017, this trip has offered International Students housing over Spring Break, a chance to interact and serve the community in Black Mountain, and a way to build friendships and bonds with other International Students on campus. 

During the trip, participants will have the chance to partner with the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, non-profit organizations and give cultural presentations to local elementary and middle schools. 

Break Dates: Saturday March 7th – Saturday March 14th, 2020

Pre-Break Meetings: Two pre-trip meetings will be offered in mid to late February. Participants are required to attend only ONE of these two meetings. Dates will be released late January.

Cost: $265 – This cost includes transportation, housing and most meals (students will be responsible for their meal during the drive up to Black Mountain and on the free day in Asheville). 

Who Can Attend: There are 26 spots open to all students at NC State this includes Undergraduate, Exchange, Graduate, PhD, Scholars and IEP students.
