OIS will operate under normal office hours during spring break from Monday, March 6th – Thursday, March 9th.
OIS will be closed on Friday, March 10th as staff will be attending a professional development conference.
Please plan accordingly and make the necessary arrangements to pick up or drop off your documents.

Unfortunately a variety of scams targeting students continue to be a problem. The scammers will often claim to be from a government agency and demand some form of payment to fix a problem with your record. These calls are completely false. OIS offers some tips for protecting yourself against scams, and what to do if a scammer contacts you.

Health Insurance Reminder for J Visa Holders
As a J-1 visa holder, you must maintain health insurance for yourself and any dependents on a J-2 visa for the entire duration of your DS-2019, even if traveling outside of the United States while the DS-2019 is still active. Your health insurance must meet the minimum requirements for J visa holders.   Read More»
International Festival at NC State
On Friday, March 31st NC State will host its first International Festival. Scholars and their dependents are welcome to participate by hosting a table to represent their home country, or by performing in the Cultural Showcase. You must register for a table or complete an application to participate in the Cultural Showcase. We hope to see you there!
