OIS has partnered with Sprintax to provide tax filing services to our international students and scholars. Sprintax will host a series of free webinars to provide helpful information on nonresident tax filing obligations. Each webinar will cover:
- An overview of tax filing obligations for nonresident students and scholars
- Who must file a 2020 U.S. tax return
- What year-end income forms students/scholars may expect to receive
- Federal forms that need to be completed and sent to the IRS
- State tax returns

OIS is partnering with the International Employment Office to host this workshop for students interested in learning more about transitioning to a H-1B visa. Covered topics will include a brief review OPT and the OPT STEM Extension, along with some common Q&A about OPT, and an overview of the H-1B visa, including eligibility requirements, application process, and the transition from OPT to H-1B
