International Festival 2021
International Festival
The Office of International Services, Multicultural Student Affairs, Global Engagement, and Student Leadership and Engagement are excited to present the 2021 International Festival. The International Festival is an annual event typically held on Stafford Commons to promote the multiculturalism of our institution and expose our campus community to the variety of global opportunities available. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival scheduled for March 2020 was canceled. This year we are excited to host the event on a virtual platform as a social media showcase to connect our campus community with all things international at NC State University.
The first NC State International Festival was held in Spring 2017. Briana Garcia and Suha Ahmed were undergraduate students when they independently organized the event. Our offices are excited to continue the tradition and promote continued connection, understanding, and cultural competency through this showcase.
International Snack Box Pick-Up
The International Festival will be providing a chance for students to try snacks from around the globe. Inspired by products like Universal Yums and Snack Crate, we have worked hard to curate our own international snack box representing nine countries from around the globe. Snacks include Guaraná Antarctica a guaraná-flavored soft drink from Brazil, Parle-G Biscuits from India, and Chin Chin a fried snack from Nigeria. Students can pick up an International Snack Box on campus at Talley Student Union from 11 AM – 1 PM on Friday, April 16. While there will be a limited quantity of boxes available for students passing by, students are encouraged to pre-register to secure their box.
Social Media Showcase
Follow the Office of International Services on social media to participate in the virtual social media showcase. Throughout the day, individuals will be able to take international quizzes, learn about cultural campus organizations, and earn prizes throughout the day. Join us on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.
