Palash Gupta, Master of Computer Science

Tell us about yourself.

I am Palash, a graduate student in Computer Science at the NC State University. I love to meet new people, go out for treks and listen to music. I like photography and try to learn new techniques each time. I am also a nature lover and want to explore the mountains in Switzerland one day.

How was your experience at NC State University?

My experience here has been nothing short of fantastic. I have had a chance to meet with some of the most amazing folks out here and it was a great overall experience engaging in study sessions, pizza nights, birthdays etc. I got to study under some of the most reputed faculty in the world and believe that their guidance will stay with me throughout my journey.

What would you say is your biggest accomplishment during your time at NC State?

I believe that I was able to succeed in some of most challenging courses here which gave me the confidence to take up any new challenges and this is one of the key takeaways for me.

What are your plans post graduation?

I plan to start a career as a Software Developer in a tech based company.

Do you have any advice for current or incoming international students?

Stay put and give it your best shot at whatever you do. Its the hard work that you put in that gets you through the difficult stages in life but the experience you carry from here will be more than worthwhile.
