Fall 2023  Employment Workshop Series

OIS is excited to present a series of informational workshops regarding employment topics in both virtual and in-person formats. Keep an eye on this page for additional sessions to be announced soon!

Optional Practical Training (OPT)  Information Sessions

There will be two scheduled OPT Information Sessions. The presentation will be geared towards F-1 students completing in Fall 2023, but all who want to know more about Post-Completion OPT are welcome. We will cover what OPT is, eligibility for OPT, and the process of applying for Post-Completion OPT.

• In-person: October 25th from 10 AM – 11:15 AM in Talley Student Union 3210 
• Virtual: December 7th from 1 PM – 2:30 PM. Zoom link: https://ncsu.zoom.us/j/94019211856

The content will be the same in each session, and a recorded version of the session’s content will also be made available on the OPT page around the same time as the first session.

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Information Sessions

If you are interested in applying for CPT for the Spring 2024 or Summer 2024 semesters, this will be a great introduction to the CPT process. This general session will go over what CPT is, eligibility for CPT, and the process of applying for CPT. 

• In-person: November 6th from 3 PM – 4:30 PM in Talley Student Union 3222

The content will be the same in each session and a recorded version of the session’s content will be made available to view after.
