I, Het Shah, can truly fell this quote, completing my graduation with my master’s in industrial engineering from NC State has indeed build my confidence, helped me achieve my goals and made me a better person.

From enjoying studying at the hill and hunt library to working at talley student union and being part of advisory board at feed the pack as graduate student patron it has been quite an wholesome and enjoyable journey. I was born and raised in Mumbai a city which never sleeps and grew up becoming a very outgoing and active person. As the time passed I didn’t realised but NC State has become my home and the friends my family. The love and affection which I received here never made me reaslised that 2 years passed by so soon.

How was your experience at NC State University?

Time flies off but leaves its shadow behind,” It all seems like yesterday when I started my masters and these 2 years at NC state gave my life some amazing memories which I could cherish forever. Firstly the professors were very supportive and helpful. The program of Industrial Engineering gave me an opportunity to take up courses I would love to study and shape my career accordingly. Each day was full of gaining knowledge and learning new skills. As i am an outgoing person I used to visit the gym for various activities like badminton, table tennis, racquetball,swimming through which I got a chance to meet new people and make new friends which soon turned out to be my family. As one of my hobby is watching movies and sports events, I used to love going to wither spoon cinema as well as wolf pack athletics games. It was really a different experience and worth to be waiting on weekly basis for. As to sum it up NC state holds a very special place in my life.

Do you have any advice for current or incoming international students?

Don’t stress out about things because everything usually turns out okay.
